Sakharpa village situated at the foot place of Amba Ghat. Recently came on the national highway. A village that has been visited by great and exemplary people like India’s first Prime Minister Pandit Nehru and Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil and has been blessed with the shadow of Vishakgad of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the Idol of Maharashtra. Sakharpa villege is said to be the name of the village where sugar means sweetness. The educational progress of such a village has been going on since the pre-independence period. District in villages where there were new halls of education such primary schools, two secondary schools, one junior college, there was a constant lack of degree college education. To fill this gap an organization called Shikshan Prasarak Mandal’s Kirbet started efforts. The blessing of the elders were received and the Mumbai University and the Government of Maharashtra approved the establishment of an Arts and Commerce College in Sakharpa Village. This vision is the President of the institute Prof. Abaji Sawant made in possible.

Our college caters regular attendance, your interest / hobby in reading and there by provides various elements necessary for your cultural as well as literary and many other types of knowledge at the social level have been made available.
This college will provide course facilities upto degree examination of University of Mumbai approved course in Arts and Commerce faculty. The college follows the rules of the university. College time will be in the morning. Sunday is a weekly holiday bar and public holidays will be declared as per University.
