About-
The National Service Scheme ( NSS) is a central sector scheme of Government of India . Ministry of Youth Affairs and sports. In Provides opportunity to the students youth of 11th and 12th class of schools at + 2 Board level and students youth of technical Institution, Graduate, and post Graduate at Colleges and university level of India to take part in Various government led community service activities and program me.
The sole aim of the NSS is to provide hands on experience to young students strength increased from 40,000 to over 3.8 million up to the end of March 2025 students in various community service programmes.
In our institute NSS is working from and now the stringent of the NSS is 100 students per year.
Objective
1) Understand the community in which they work
2) Understand them selves in relation to their community.
3) Identify the needs and problems of the community and involve them in problem solving.
4) Develop among them selves a sense of social and civic responsibility.
5) Utilize their knowledge in finding practical solutions to individual and community problems.
6) Develop competence required from group–living and sharing of responsibilities.
7) Develop capacity to meet emergencies and natural disaster.
8) Acquired leadership qualities and democratic attitudes.
9) Practice national integration and social harmony.
Motto of NSS – Not Me But You
The motto of NSS ‘ Not Me But You’ reflects the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for self- less service. NSS helps the students develop appreciation to other person’s point of view and also show consideration to other living beings. The NSS students of our instituted keep up the useful work in organizing campaigns for awareness on social issues. Popularization of the nationally accepted objectives like nationalism, democracy secularism, social harmony, swatch bharat – Abhiyam etc

The NSS symbol is embossed on the badge
• The eight bars in the wheel represent the 24 hours of a day
• The red color indicates that the volunteers is full of young blood that is lively, active, energetic and full of high spent.
• The navy blue color indicates the cosmos of which the NSS is tiny part , ready to contribute its share for welfare of the mankind.
